Richard Lee Pratt, 65, of Whittier went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in a Buncombe County Hospital.

A native of Baltimore, MD, he had lived in Swain County since 1977. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cozette Revis Pratt; two sons, Eric Pratt and wife Sofia of Whittier, Christopher Pratt of Whittier; five grandchildren; and sister, Delores Holcomb and husband Ted of Spartanburg, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Whittier United Methodist Church of which he was a member. Rev. David Baxter will officiate with burial in the Whittier Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
