Cecil (Crick) Collins, 84, of the Wesser Creek community passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 in a Swain County health care facility. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Robert and Delma Cunningham Collins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired mail carrier. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Harold, Jack, and J.E. Collins and one sister, Jessie (Polly) Medford. He is survived by one son, Robert (George) Collins of Bryson City; his beloved granddaughter, Lauren Collins of Bryson City; sister-in-law, Reva Collins of Hood River, OR; and several nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Euchella Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home.
