Obituary of Catherine Louise Lambert

Catherine (Katie) Conseen Lambert, 76, born July 11, 1938, of the 3200 Acre Tract community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015 following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Ann Queen; son, Steven Raby; and her brother, James Conseen. She is survived by three sons, Eric Lambert and wife Elaine of Balsam, NC, Dwayne Lambert and wife Crissy and Brent Lambert of Cherokee, and special "son", Hunter Lambert of the home; four grandsons Hunter, Trace, Tay and Hickory; and two granddaughters, Briawnna and Meli. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce C. Dugan of Cherokee, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Katie retired from Qualla Housing Authority of Cherokee where she had been employed for over thirty years. She was a faithful member of Old Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Cherokee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Old Antioch Baptist Church. Revs. Denny Crowe and Ben Reed will officiate with burial in the Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 12:00 am Thursday at the church. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
