Reva Kinsland Bowers, 80, of Whittier passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 after a brief illness. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John Taft and Beulah Mae Cooper Kinsland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd J. Bowers; her son, David Bowers; and two brothers, Joe and Donald Kinsland. She is survived by three daughters, Polly Meek and husband Tom of Stockbridge, GA, Mitzie Bowers and Faye Palmer of Whittier; two sons, Paul Bowers and wife Michelle of Sylva, James Bowers of Whittier; daughter-in-law, Tina Bowers; grandchildren, Nicole Welch (June), Danielle Bowers, Grady McQuade (Sarah), Brandon Bowers, Taft Dayne Bowers, Breunne` Bowers, Alec Bowers, Judson Palmer; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate with burial in the Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
