Mariann Hicks Burgess, 84, of Hendersonville, formerly of Bryson City, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in a Henderson County health care facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Della Byrd Thomas.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry "Von" and Joe Thomas.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Glover and husband Steve of Hendersonville, NC, Libby Borman and husband Jon of Custer, MI; two grandchildren, Elissa Glover of San Antonio, TX, Matthew Glover of Roanoke, VA; and her sister, Betty Grant of Bryson City.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Swain Memorial Park. Rev. Jon Stephens will officiate.
At other times, the family will be at their home on West Deep Creek Road.
