Obituary of Jeff Barker

Jeff Barker, 57, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 25, 2015 in a Swain County hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Reba Frady Barker of Bryson City and the late Burl Barker. He was owner and operator of Barker’s Garage for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lynn Turner Barker; one son, Mark Barker of the home; three daughters, Heather Chambers and husband Malcolm of Bryson City, Jennifer West and husband James of Shelbyville, TN, Crystal Barker of Shelbyville, TN; two grandsons, Ryan and Dawson Chambers of Bryson City; five granddaughters, Kensley Chambers of Bryson City, Cara Barker, Haylee West, Chelsey West and Katie West of Shelbyville, TN; and one sister, Darlene Owle and husband David of Cherokee.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Monday at Victory Baptist Church. Revs. Jon Stephens and Todd Wikle will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Monday at the church.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
