Kenneth (Kenny) Alden Childers, 58, of Whittier passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at his residence. A native of Dade County, FL he was the son of Alden and Nancy Sue Childers of Whittier, NC.
Kenneth was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Franklin, NC. He was a 25 + year employ of Nucor Steel Company and current employ of Harrah's. He loved the mountains and the Childers Farm.
He is survived by three children, Brooke Nicole Doss and husband Matt of Charlotte, NC, Kymberly Marie Childers of Dyersburg, TN, and Shane Patton Childers of Dyersburg, TN; five siblings Kim Childers Heasley and husband Steve, Kirk Childers and wife Sandra, Kay Childers, Kevin Childers and wife Bonnie, and Karen Childers Partain and husband Terry; nine nieces and nephews; and beloved aunts and uncles. He will be missed by his family of who he always said "I Love You Dearly."
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
